Transportation Rules & Procedures
- The Arab City School System provides free transportation to and from school daily. Riding an Arab City School bus is a privilege that is granted to all students who behave appropriately. - The Arab City BOE grants principals and administrators the authority and latitude to implement the following behavior expectations for students riding buses.
- Stay in your seat and face forward.
- Keep your hands and feet away from the aisle, the window, and the other passengers. For safety reasons, aisles must always be clear for loading and unloading.
- Talk quietly and use appropriate language.
- No eating or drinking on the bus.
- Fighting, harassment, intimidation, or horseplay are prohibited.
- Students must ride their assigned bus unless the principal or designee approves otherwise.
- Students must load and unload at their designated stop unless the principal or designee approves otherwise.
- Students damaging buses will be financially responsible for the damage.
- Criminal conduct by a student while on a bus may result in involvement by local law enforcement officials.
